By paying a higher price for cocoa, sourcing 100% traceable beans, and committing to Fairtrade practices, Tony’s works directly toward ending forced labour and child labour in the cocoa industry.
One of the most recognizable features of a Tony’s bar is its unequally divided pieces. The uneven design represents inequality in the chocolate industry. In the Milk Hazelnut bar, the pieces are even shaped like a map of Western Africa and in order to fit whole hazelnuts into the bar, two smaller countries (Togo and Benin) were combined into one larger piece. It’s a playful detail that sparks conversation about a very serious issue.
Beyond ethical sourcing, Tony’s keeps it clean with no palm oil, no plastic packaging, and fully recyclable, FSC-certified paper wrapping.
