A Year of Impact: Amaranth’s 2025 Community & Sustainability Wrap-Up

As we reflect on the past year, we’re proud of the meaningful impact made through everyday choices at Amaranth. From supporting local communities to investing in renewable energy and environmental initiatives, 2025 was a year rooted in purpose, care, and connection.

Giving Back to Our Communities

Community support remains central to who we are. Over the past year, Amaranth contributed:

• $14,000 to registered charities

• An additional $26,000 to local groups and individuals through community engagement initiatives

These contributions reflect our commitment to supporting organizations and individuals who help strengthen the communities we serve.

Renewable Energy & Environmental Impact

Reducing our environmental footprint continues to be a key focus.

• Amaranth’s solar panels generated 16,242 kWh of clean, renewable energy this year, helping reduce reliance on fossil fuels and support a more sustainable energy system.

• Across all locations, total solar production through Solar YYC reached 13,830,208 kWh, contributing to long-term environmental benefits for our region.

We choose to focus on energy generated and environmental impact, highlighting the positive difference renewable energy can make.

Supporting Ocean Health

Our environmental efforts extend beyond energy.

Our use of EcoChit Ocean Wise receipt paper supports seaforestation initiatives that help restore underwater kelp forests in partnership with Ocean Wise.

Over the past year, Amaranth ordered a total of 100 cases — or 5,000 rolls — of EcoChit Ocean Wise receipt paper across our locations. While the exact environmental impact per roll varies and is managed through EcoChit’s Ocean Wise seaforestation program, each roll contributes to ongoing efforts to restore underwater kelp forests off the coast of British Columbia.

Everyday actions add up to meaningful impact.

• Across all locations, 70,267,500 points were redeemed and $$140,535.00 saved this year, reflecting strong engagement with our rewards program and continued support for mindful, values-driven shopping.
